About Me
Hi, I’m Wanting :)
I was born in Hebei, China, during the first snowstorm of the year (a very warm welcome). At age five, I traded snow for sunshine and moved to the Bay Area, California, where I spent most of my childhood immersed in art, play, and dreaming up hidden portals to other worlds. (Spoiler: I never found them, but I’ve learned they can be built—with a little imagination and the power of creative technology.)
When it was time for college, I headed to the East Coast to major in Interactive Media Arts at NYU, complemented by minors in Psychology and the Business of Media, Entertainment, and Technology. My goal was to understand both how people think and what makes ideas succeed in the real world. At NYU, I discovered how to transform imagination into practical, human-centered innovation—designing tools and experiences that resonate with people.
Now, as a first-year master’s student in Human-Computer Interaction at Georgia Tech, I’m exploring the structured processes and science of UX and product design, while learning alongside some of the brightest minds I’ve ever met. My focus is on creating products and experiences that connect, delight, and solve problems—whether they’re for people, businesses, or just making the everyday a little better.
